The Us Constitution was written with the expressed
intention that our individual sovereign rights are endowed
by our creator and that the primary responsibility of government
of, by and for " We The People" is to ensure these essential
individual rights are not violated.  In fact, the First Continental Congress was convened to establish the initial 13 amendments known as the "Bill of Rights" which solidify the rights of a sovereign citizen. This singular act created the greatest governing document in the history of the free world. 

The American Party of Alaska stands squarely in support of these rights and rejects any form of collective which violates the sovereign rights of individual Alaskan citizens. 

Our opposition toward the Alaskan collective:


Education:

In Alaska our public education has been  created by a clear monopoly utilizing the Blaine Amendment embedded in our state constitution.  The collective, supported by the  National Education Association  Alaska chapter (NEA) controls the vast amount of financial resources in the public system based on this amendment. 

The Blaine Amendment requires that only state money can be used to directly fund public education. This creates a direct assault on the individual parental unit to explore and implement other forms of education alternatives which have a record of superior academic improvement and a substantially lower cost than the collective. 

 The result is Alaska is one of the highest funded public systems in the nation but ranks 50th in the nation in academic achievement.  NEA directs their focus on authority and control, not education excellence and accountability. 

A multitude of other states in the nation have instituted education reform to incorporate various forms of parental choice which help direct their children toward other programs better suited to individual learning styles. As a consequence, Alaska continues to fall further and further behind compared to all other states in the nation. 

The American Party of Alaska directly opposes the Blaine Amendment and calls for it's removal from the state constitution based on the nature of it's inherant discrimination. 

The resource of Fish:

Our state constitution instructs all legislators to direct all the resources of the state for maximum yield. Today, the fisheries of Alaska are directed to benefit corporate fishing (the collective)  instead of prioritizing this resource first, for the benefit of the individual and their subsistence priority. 

The American Party of Alaska  stands in opposition to the indiscriminate taking of our fish resources by substantial wanton waste created by the trawl industry. We call on immediate action to curtail all trawling in state waters and encourage the governor to exercise a majority on the NTSB council to institute immediate procedures to hold accountable international violations of our fisheries.  

The PFD:

Some may argue that the distribution of the Permanent Fund Dividend is a form of socialism which is a "collective".  These same antagonists never argue that the Alaska State Constitution is actually the most socialist governing document in the nation because of it's claims on the common resource. 

In fact the PFD program is the most equitable program in state history.  Collectives are famous for dividing resources up and distributing those resources based on "benevolence" defined by the collective or within special interest groups usually associated with the "donor class." 

In the barest of cases, the Permanent Fund Distribution program represents 12% of the financial resource of the state going directly to the sovereign citizen, while the government receives 88% of the remaining resources.  In 2016 the government realized it could no longer live within the margins of 88% and contrived methods to obtain more than 88% thus, the raid on the PFD began and the disregard for law. 

This singular act violated state law in a brazen manner to fund the continuance of a government approximately 2.5 times larger than most other state governments. 

The American Party of Alaska stands in direct opposition to violating the law and taking any of the Permanent Fund Dividend from it's rightful owners. Taking any portion of the PFD is a direct tax which is a violent discriminatory act against the rural communities of Alaska, the elderly and less fortunate citizens of Alaska. It is disproportionate to their earning power.

Additionally, because it is a tax, taking the PFD from children forces Alaskan children to pay for the burden of a government which is unable to live within it's means. Alaska happens to be the only state in the union which taxes children.
